Stacie Turner (RHODC) Controls her Online Presence

3 Sep
One of the things that I wanted this blog to be is a place where Stacie Turner could be highlighted. That means I scour the web for mentions of her name and observe the show for appropriate blog topics. I have also been invited out to events that Stacie hosts on behalf of her charity, Extra-Ordinary Life (XOL).

One thing I DIDN’T want to do is to participate in gossip on Stacie or on other members of the cast.I don’t have the patience, tolerance or energy for that. I’ve let a lot of blog comments go unanswered. Instead, I wanted to find other things to highlight about Stacie. And what I’ve seen thus far, is how she’s taking a commanding role in creating an image outside of the show in the social media world.

Stacie admitted she was apprehensive about being the only African-American cast member. She shared a preview of the show with DC Fab {link to video} and since has been active on twitter { @stacieturnerdc } and with a new website to inform viewers of her professional accomplishments and her charitable work. She also shares information on how she met Jason Turner, her supportive husband. There is even a teaser about one of Jason’s inventions. is also the home of a blog where Stacie has the opportunity to tell readers her side of the story of each episode. She uses a very down to earth (much like the person you see on TV) tone to recap the episodes from her point of view, from the trip to Paris with the Salahis or her dislike for Cat, who seems to offend at ever instance.

I’ve had the chance to meet Stacie Turner, and I was very impressed. This is a down to earth, hard working siSTAR who is highly educated, talented, blessed, filled and surrounded by love. She gives back in ways that most people can ever dream of and she’s smart enough to grab the bull by the horns and control her online identity.
