Art & Music Weekend: Gaia, Art Collecting, Sol Power & Zo!

12 Aug

Alright, normally, I post this stuff in The Forecast, but I wanted to make sure that everyone saw the goodness happening this weekend. Whether you’re into art or music, or a combination of both, then make sure you get out in the streets this weekend for an artastic time! {I’m a nerd, I make up words.}

So, bring in the weekend right on Friday night with Gaia { }

Saturday, I’m speaking on a panel, giving my novice perspective on collecting art.  Sharon J. Burton of Authentic Contemporary Art will serve as the moderator for a lively discussion that will tackle how to start an art collection or where to start with collecting photography. If you’re looking for tips to expand your existing collection of African American art, then come network with artists and collectors alike!  And it’s free with refreshments!

WHERE: The Prince George’s African American Museum and Cultural Center’s (PGAAMC) African American Collector’s Guild
