State of the Union Watch Party

8 Feb

I attended View from 1600: State of the Union Watch Party on Wednesday night. The business league that I founded in 2003, DC WIN – which stands for Well informed networking – was a co-host.

About 200 well educated, many well dressed, some fresh from the gym, men and women gathered in the Z Lounge of the Sports Club LA at the Ritz Carlton to witness the first official State of the Union address by the First Black President of the United States.

The crowd started off light and slim towards the beginning of the evening. I made it there about an hour before the address began and I was able to connect with Curt Midkiff, my Morehouse brother that invited DC WIN to co-host in the first place.

He was orchestrating the evening with IMPACT, Kreative Koncepts DC, Elevated Entertainment, and CityLife. TYoungPR handled all media.
